AI Security for West Texas Businesses

Your staff are probably already using AI, whether you've approved it or not. That can put client records, financial files and passwords in places you can't control. Double Technologies helps businesses in Lubbock and across West Texas use AI safely: we find the AI tools in use, protect sensitive data, lock down accounts and watch for trouble. Our local team brings 30 years of combined experience in IT and Cybersecurity.

IT & Cybersecurity Services

Shadow AI Discovery

Shadow AI is AI tools staff use for work without approval, like free chatbots, browser extensions and AI note-takers. We review sign-ins and app connections to show which AI tools your business is using, so you can approve the good ones and block the risky ones.

Data Leak Protection with Microsoft Purview

We set up data loss prevention (DLP) policies in Microsoft Purview to help stop sensitive information, like Social Security numbers, account numbers and patient details, from being shared where it shouldn't go, including into AI tools.

Sensitivity Labels

We label your most sensitive files and email in Microsoft 365 so protection travels with the file. Labeled content can be encrypted, limited to the right people and kept out of reach of AI tools that shouldn't see it.

Copilot Oversharing

Copilot shows people anything they already have access to. We find SharePoint sites, Teams and folders shared too widely, remove old links and guest access, and keep permissions clean as staff come and go. Getting ready to roll out Copilot? See our AI Services page.

AI-Powered Phishing and Deepfake Voice Fraud Defense

Criminals now use AI to write convincing emails and fake a boss's or vendor's voice on the phone. We tighten email security filtering, set up warnings on email from outside senders, and help you put simple verification steps in place, like calling back on a known number before any payment or banking change.

Secure AI Accounts with MFA and Conditional Access

AI accounts hold your prompts, files and chat history. We require multi-factor authentication (MFA), use conditional access in Microsoft 365 to limit sign-ins to trusted users and devices, and turn off access for former employees.

Monitoring with SIEM

SIEM monitoring is available for your Microsoft 365 sign-in and activity logs. We can feed those logs into a SIEM so unusual activity, like a risky sign-in or a large download, gets flagged and reviewed. Learn more in our post What Is SIEM, and Does a Small Business Need It?

AI Vendor and Tool Risk Review

Before you approve a new AI tool, we can review how it handles your data: where it's stored, whether it's used to train the vendor's models, what admin controls it has and whether it fits your compliance needs, such as HIPAA or the FTC Safeguards Rule.

AI Usage Policy

We write a plain-English AI usage policy that lists approved tools, data that must never be entered, how new tools get approved and what to do if something goes wrong. It works hand in hand with the technical controls above.

Part of Your Cybersecurity Plan

AI security fits alongside our patching and monitoring, managed firewall and vulnerability management. See our Cybersecurity services.
